Valentine’s Day Raspberry Cupcakes with Almond Buttercream Frosting


First off, let me just say YUMMM!!!  These cupcakes are absolutely UH-MAZING!!  I was trying to think of something a little different than strawberries and chocolate for Valentine’s Day and I absolutely LOVE how well almond and raspberries go together.  These cupcakes were so moist and delicious, I couldn’t believe how great they came out. 
Make these lovely treats for your special someone for an amazing Valentine's Day that they'll never forget.
Found this recipe here and just ended up following the recipe to a tee and they came out perfect.
I kind of improvised on the frosting recipe, and it was amazing:
1 Cup Butter
1 Cup Heavy Cream
4 Cups Confectioners Sugar
4 Teaspoons Almond Extract
Whip butter until smooth, add heavy cream and sugar alternating between sugar and cream until completely mixed.  Add almond extract and mix on low until combined.
